Frequently asked questions

Below you will find an overview of the frequently asked questions. How can we help you?

Until the 1st of January 2020 we had a specific app for all available languages. Since the 1st of January 2020 we combined all the available languages into one app: Learn languages with Emma.

The following apps will no longer be updated:

  • Learn English with Emma
  • Learn Esperanto with Emma
  • Learn Dutch with Emma
  • Learn Polish with Emma
  • Learn Spanish with Emma

Updating the previous apps takes a lot of time and keeps us from developing new themes and adding new features. We have decided to combine all features in one app: Learn languages with Emma.

Advantages of Learn languages with Emma compared to the other apps:

  • All languages are available in one app.
  • Organisations are able to buy the app. This opportunity makes it possible for children to practice with the app at home on their own device.
  • The app sends testresults to our portal. The portal makes it possible for teachers and mentors to monitor the growth of the child's vocabulary.
  • We offer more available themes. It's not possible to practice the new themes in the other apps, because they will no longer be updated.li>
  • The different games are updated and expanded.

Learn languages with Emma is available in a monthly subscription instead of a one-time purchase. The monthly subscription is less than the one-time purchase and gives immediately access to all available themes and languages.

The other apps will remain availble in Google Play and App Store for our excisting users.

Common causes of sound problems:

  • The button with which you put your iPhone/iPad in silent mode may be wrong. If you do not hear any sound, you can switch this button so that your iPhone/iPad is no longer in silent mode. See the video below:
  • The moment you use headphones and connect/disconnect, the sound may drop out. In this case, try to restart the app.
  • If both of these options don't work then try restarting the iPhone / iPad.
